Hiromi, the café owner, drops off receipts. Shows one face blurred at three spots—dressed in a black raincoat, too tall and too thin. No patron remembers him entering or leaving. The dusty internet ties older horror tales to this myth: every twenty years, something takes whatever’s “left behind” by change. New faces show up around Mochida middle school. Local legend kids tell weird rumors: sometimes the taken crawl back. Their faces aren’t theirs. Old shopkeeper Asai warns Hibiki: “Some things drag you if you look right at them—even years back.” Old officer Takuya goes missing one night searching for clues. Team gets shaken.
